Business Consulting by GCG services include focusing corporate visions, developing business plans and grant proposals, registration of government contractors, and marketing.
Corporate Visioning: Without a clear focus of what a business is aiming for, the owners can go in many different directions, none of which will be specially fruitful. The focusing process brings everyone to the same page and creates a starting point for all movement forward in the company. It is essential for marketing and operations.
Writing Services: Business plans and grant proposals are very similarly constructed. A great amount of information must be gathered and synthesized to create both documents. Both are plans of action on how to run a company or a specific project. Both are used to access sources of operating funds. A typical business plan or grant proposal takes anywhere from 20-80 hours to write depending upon the amount of information provided by the client and how much research must be completed by the writer. Writing services are charged on an hourly basis. These finished documents can range in price from $2,000 - $5,000.
Note on grant proposals: Many people ask if the writing fee can be taken from an awarded grant proposal. 1) All people writing proposals are paid for their writing skills. They are not paid to "get the grant". No writer can guarantee you will "get the grant". 2) It is illegal to offer a cut or payment from the awarded grant to the writer of the grant proposal. Each grant must include a detailed budget of how the money will be spent. To deviate from this budget constitutes fraud. Grant awards do not pay for the writing of grant proposals.
Registration of Government contractors: Many people find the process of registering as a federal contractor rather scary. We can walk you through the process or complete the forms for you.
Marketing: Business Consulting by GCG has experience in focusing on consumer perceptions and translating those into a marketing plan of action encompassing various media and product presentations including retail display, sales, print and web design.
Products have ranged from intangible ideas to tangible retail items. One example of selling an intangible idea to the public is Earth Explorers, a successful effort utilizing print and web design to market the geosciences and an after-school program to the public in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Other marketing efforts have included optimizing sales in an older retail store, automotive promotions, and sales of financial services. Marketing services are provided on an hourly or per project basis.
